137. Deputy Fiona O'Loughlin asked the Taoiseach and Minister for Defence the way in which members of the Defence Forces can make representations to his Department regarding their pay and conditions; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [47269/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Conciliation and Arbitration (C&A) Scheme for members of the Permanent Defence Force (PDF) provides an established mechanism for the PDF representative associations, that is PDFORRA (the representative association for enlisted personnel) and RACO (the representative association for commissioned officers) to engage with the Official side. Members of the PDF can make representations in relation to their pay and conditions through their representative associations having regard to the provisions of the Public Service Stability Agreement 2018-2020, to which the Defence Forces Representative Associations are parties.
