567. Deputy Tom Neville asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection if she will address a matter regarding the case of a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [49078/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraDisability allowance arrears issued to the person concerned on 21 November 2018. They were in receipt of another social welfare payment, or an increase was paid to another for his benefit, during the period 22 August 2018 to 30 October 2018. Consequently, the amount of social welfare already paid required calculation and was deducted from the arrears due.
I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
