Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government further to Parliamentary Question No. 1207 of 6 November 2018, the number of applications received by An Bord Pleanála in each of the past five years; the percentage of these applications which were dealt with in each year within the specified 18 week period; the average time for dealing with an application across each of the past five years in tabular form. In relation to strategic housing development applications, since the new arrangements came into operation in July 2017 up until 31 October 2018, the Board has issued decisions in respect of 33 cases, 100% of which were within the 16 week statutory time period specified, with an average time of 14 weeks to dispose of such cases.
