Amharc ar fhreagraI would wish to assure the Deputy that my office has previously been in correspondence with the person concerned in order to attempt to arrange a meeting. Unfortunately, it has not yet proved possible to set a date, however I can confirm that I remain committed to doing so.

My Department administered a National Lottery Discretionary Fund up to and including 2016 from which once-off grants were paid to community and voluntary organisations providing a range of health related services.

The Deputy should note that the HSE operates a similar scheme and continues to provide grants to health agencies and other organisations from National Lottery funds.
I have asked the Health Service Executive to reply directly to the Deputy regarding funding paid to organisations in County Galway and County Roscommon in each of the years 2016 to 2018 and to date 2019.

Deputy Bobby Aylward asked the Minister for Health if he is satisfied that there are adequate bus services in place in counties Carlow and Kilkenny to assist parents in transporting children and adult children with special needs to adult day services; if the possibility of a provision of further funding for additional bus capacity in areas in which there is a waiting list of persons seeking to avail of existing bus transport to adult day services, which is at maximum capacity, will be investigated; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
