Peadar Tóibín

Ceist:

442. Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if the impact that the BusConnects policy will have regarding the restriction of traffic flow and access to the area of the national children's hospital has been given due consideration; if local residents' objections to BusConnects have been noted; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport. The National Transport Authority (NTA) has statutory responsibility for the development and implementation of public transport infrastructure in the Greater Dublin Area including BusConnects.

Noting their responsibility in relation to this matter, I have forwarded your query to the NTA for their consideration and direct reply. I would ask the Deputy to notify my office if he has not received a reply within 10 days.

A referred reply was forwarded to the Deputy under Standing Order 42A
