Deputy Denise Mitchell asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform his plans in place for the refurbishment and-or extension of Coolock Garda station; if a request has been made for upgrading, extension or refurbishment of the station; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe Garda Capital Investment Programme 2016-2021 which was announced by the Minister for Justice and Equality and the Minister of State at the Office of Public Works on 21 October 2015 does not include the upgrade, extension or refurbishment of the Garda Station at Coolock.
There are currently no plans to extend Coolock Garda Station however the Office of Public Works intend to refurbish both the male and female showers rooms at the Garda Station in the coming months.
