Deputy Alan Kelly asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the remuneration and benefits policy in place for management in the Irish Greyhound Board; the contracts, benefits and bonus structures that are in place; if they meet with all Government guidelines; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraBord na gCon is a commercial state body, established under the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 chiefly to control greyhound racing and to improve and develop the greyhound industry. Bord na gCon is a body corporate and a separate legal entity to the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
The remuneration and benefit policy of staff is an operational matter for Bord na gCon and I have therefore asked them to provide the information requested directly to the Deputy.
