717. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the status of a domiciliary care allowance application by a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [26776/19]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe domiciliary care allowance (DCA) application from the person concerned has been finalised. She was notified in a letter dated 4th June 2019 that DCA has been awarded from 1st November 2018. This includes a back-dating payment for the maximum six months allowable in respect of the months November 2018 to April 2019. Arrears due for this period issued to her with the June 2019 payment on the 18th June 2019.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
