1299. Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Health the cost-saving initiatives under way through the HSE medicines management programme; the estimated savings potential through each initiative; the planned initiatives to be commenced in 2019; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Health Service Executive has operational responsibility for medicines expenditure and cost saving measures, and so this matter has been referred to the HSE for their attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
