Deputy Mary Butler asked the Minister for Health his plans to increase the number of step-down facilities and respite care for the older population to prevent late discharges in acute hospitals, of which there were 599 in June 2019, if the restructuring of health services into six new regional health areas occurs; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
