Deputy John Brady asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the status of the review into means testing of maintenance payments as committed to in section 21 of the Social Welfare, Pensions and Civil Registration Act 2018; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraAs required under section 21 of the Social Welfare, Pensions and Civil Registration Act, my Department recently finalized a report on the financial effects of the consideration of maintenance payments as household income in the means test for various social welfare payments.
I expect the report to be laid before the Houses of the Oireachtas shortly.
