Amharc ar fhreagraI have recently announced my intention to establish a Vaccination Alliance of policy makers, healthcare professionals and patient advocates to examine vaccine hesitancy, the reasons behind it and what we can do to combat it. I also intend to travel to the Global Vaccination Summit later this month to discuss the issue with my European colleagues.
The HSE Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) is responsible for the surveillance of notifiable infectious diseases such as measles. As the Deputy’s question relates to a service matter, it has been referred to the Health Service Executive for attention and direct reply.
