334. Deputy Brendan Ryan asked the Minister for Health the status of the rolling out of Plenadren as an alternative hydrocortisone therapy here under the HSE drugs schemes in view of the fact it has been approved in the UK, Spain and the United States of America; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Under the Health (Pricing and Supply of Medical Goods) Act 2013, the HSE has statutory responsibility for the pricing and reimbursement of medicines; therefore, the matter has been referred to the HSE for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
