45. Deputy Maurice Quinlivan asked the Taoiseach and Minister for Defence the number of workers employed by his Department and in each office or agency under the aegis of his Department who earn less than the living wage of €12.30 per hour; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [38239/19]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department employs civil servants and also, civilian employees attached to military installations. The Army Pensions Board is an independent statutory body established under the Army Pensions Act, 1927 whose secretariat is provided from within my Department's staff. Of the civil servants and civilian employees employed by my Department, 65 earn less than €12.30 per hour.
