Deputy Eamon Scanlon asked the Minister for Education and Skills if his attention has been drawn to the fact that an application for summer works funding by a school (details supplied) has been incorrectly announced as being allocated to County Sligo; his plans to substitute an application from County Sligo in view of the error; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraI can confirm to the Deputy that my Department has looked into this matter and can advise that the school in question is registered on the Department's system as having a postal address in Co Sligo. We are currently liaising with the school authority in relation to their official title and address. As the Summer Works Scheme is not administered on a county quota basis, my Department will continue with the Summer Works Scheme as announced.
