Amharc ar fhreagraThe Garda Commissioner is responsible under Section 26 (b) of the Garda Síochána Act 2005 to carry on and manage and control generally the administration and business of the Garda Síochána, including by arranging for the recruitment, training and appointment of its members and civilian staff.
I have requested a report from the Commissioner in relation to the matter referred to by the Deputy and I will write to him directly when I receive it.
