Deputy Dara Calleary asked the Minister for Education and Skills the position regarding the development of school buildings on a site (details supplied) in County Mayo; the reason two developments are being proposed for the site despite it only being suitable for one; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraA building project for the school referred to by the Deputy is included in my Department’s Building Programme. In line with the Public Spending Code and to maximise the use of State assets, my Department is considering the options available in meeting the accommodation needs of this school as well as meeting the needs of another school in the area.
