Deputy Carol Nolan asked the Minister for Education and Skills the external consultancy organisation or provider which delivered diversity and inclusion training within her Department from 2018 to date; the costs associated with such services; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraTo advance our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) programme my Department has been involved in a wide range of activities as well as organising a series of online Lunch and Learn events for staff to promote the EDI conversation in the Department.
My Department have not engaged the services of any external consultancy organisation or provider in respect of EDI programmes. All initiatives have been organised by the staff of my HR Unit and the Lunch and Learn events were carried out either by charitable organisations who have not charged us a fee, or in the case of a Women in Public Life event, by a serving Civil Servant and therefore also without cost.
