291. Deputy Neale Richmond asked the Minister for Finance the number of applications that were received for banking licences here in each of the years 2015 to 2019, inclusive, and to date in 2020; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15106/20]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Central Bank has provided tabular details of the number of applications received for banking licences for the period 2015 to date. It should be noted that the table does not include assessments in relation to material expansions of activities by existing banking licence holders, which were undertaken in the context of Brexit, as these did not constitute new licences.
