Amharc ar fhreagraThe pre-Budget 2021 Ready Reckoner is available on Revenue’s website at the link: https://www.revenue.ie/en/corporate/documents/statistics/ready-reckoner.pdf. It includes, on page 11, the estimated yield from reducing the maximum tax relief available on private pension contributions to 20%.
The Ready Reckoner shows that if tax relief on private pension contributions was reduced from the marginal rate of 40% to the standard rate of 20% it is estimated it would yield €414 million on a full year basis.
