Deputy Holly Cairns asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media the number of dedicated spaces for breastfeeding and expressing breast milk in workplaces assigned to her Department in percentage and absolute terms; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraBreastfeeding mothers in my Department have access to secure and private rest rooms in four Departmental locations, some of which are shared with other Government Departments. These spaces are also available to staff who become unwell or to pregnant staff who may need to rest.
Mothers who return to work in my Department following maternity leave are advised of their entitlements to paid breaks to facilitate breastfeeding or lactation.
