Amharc ar fhreagraI am committed to developing legislation that will help deliver much needed access to information for adopted people. It is important to acknowledge that this process will take some time, as there are complex and sensitive issues at play, involving the balancing of rights and interests of both parties. I am, however, committed to advancing fresh proposals next year.
I am very much aware that this is a subject of fundamental importance to very many adopted people. I have engaged with representative groups on this issue and will continue to engage widely in order to help achieve consensus towards a legislative solution.
