191. Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Transport when a driver licence will issue to a person (details supplied) requiring evidence of a valid driver licence for car insurance purposes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [40359/20]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department does not have access to individual driving licence applications. All such applications are handled by the National Driver Licence Service, provided by the Road Safety Authority. I have referred the question to the Authority for direct reply and ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response is not received within 10 days.
