Amharc ar fhreagraEU Regulation 2019/6 comes into force in January 2022 and from this date anti-parasitic veterinary medicinal products for food producing animals will require a veterinary prescription in order to be supplied. My Department has made it clear to stakeholders that all current suppliers of anti-parasitic veterinary medicines will continue to be able to supply them post-January 2022.
Policy and legislative decisions related to Regulation 2019/6 will be finalised during 2021 and will be subject to consultation with stakeholders.
