92. Deputy Neale Richmond asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media when the live events scheme will open for applications; if festivals that have been rescheduled will be eligible to apply for the scheme; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [2032/21]
Amharc ar fhreagraAn allocation of €50 million was made in Budget 2021 for the live performance sector. It is intended that the rollout of the funding would include measures that will build on grant schemes launched under the July stimulus, such as the pilot "Live Performance Support Scheme" and the "Music Industry Stimulus Package". Officials in my Department have gained valuable insights from these schemes and will apply these learnings when allocating funding this year. Engagement with stakeholders is ongoing and further details on guidelines and eligibility in relation to these schemes will be announced shortly. A scheme of capital grants will also operate in 2021 which will provide additional supports to the sector.
