228. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Social Protection the status of an invalidity pension application by a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [3247/21]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe person referred to has been awarded invalidity pension with effect from the 01 October 2020. Payment will issue to his nominated bank account on 28 January 2021. Any arrears due from 01 October 2020 to 27 January 2021 (less any overlapping social welfare payment) will issue in due course. Notification of the decision issued to the person concerned on 19 January 2021.
I hope this clarifies the position for the Deputy.
