273. Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science if a UK citizen living in Ireland for the past 20 years can still participate in a course in Sweden under the reciprocal agreement between EU countries. [3015/21]
Amharc ar fhreagraIt is important to note that student participation in the Erasmus+ Programme does not depend on the nationality of the student, but on the institution in which the student is registered. Education institutions must hold the Erasmus Mobility Charter, which allows them to partner with each other. Once there is an Inter-institutional agreement between the 'sending' and 'host' institution, it is open to all registered students, irrespective of nationality, in these institutions to pursue mobility opportunities, subject to the institutions' agreement.
