Deputy Michael Creed asked the Minister for Justice the way in which the internal mobility for civil servants within her Department operates with regard to transfer lists for various clerical grades; the way in which these transfer lists operate with regard to transfer from her Department to agencies and organisations under the remit of her Department including An Garda Síochána; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraI wish to advise the Deputy that staff can express an interest in moving to other areas of the Department and this is taken into consideration when filling vacancies.
Mobility for Department of Justice staff to agencies under the remit of the Department such as An Garda Síochána, Courts Service, Legal Aid Board, etc. can be applied for through Peoplepoint (the human resources shared service centre for the Civil Service) and is managed by the HR functions of these agencies.
