Deputy Gary Gannon asked the Minister for Education the progress made and timelines for the provision of a permanent building for a school (details supplied); if extra provisions will be provided for the upcoming term to ensure safety of staff and students; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraAs the Deputy is aware, a building project to provide improved accommodation for the schools in question is included on the Department's school building programme to be delivered as part of the National Development Plan (NDP).
The accommodation brief for the project is being developed and my Department will continue to liaise with the schools in this regard.
The Department has also approved grant under the Emergency Works Scheme to undertake roof works to temporary accommodaiton.
