340. Deputy Gary Gannon asked the Minister for Education further to Parliamentary Question No. 176 of 25 February 2021, the status of the upgrade of existing payroll systems in her Department; and the status of online payslips given that posting payslips comes at significant cost as highlighted by the Oireachtas Committee on Public Accounts. The upgrade of the Department’s payroll systems is progressing on a phased basis as planned during 2021. As previously outlined the Department is assessing the feasibility of introducing online payslips for payees and this work is underway.
