183. Deputy Darren O'Rourke asked the Minister for Transport the actions he is taking to address antisocial behaviour on public transport and in bus and rail stations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27170/21]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs Minister for Transport, I am, of course, concerned to see that the necessary arrangements are in place to ensure the safety of all passengers and staff across the entire public transport network. .
The safety and security of passengers and staff, including arrangements to deal with anti-social behaviour, are matters for the transport operators, in conjunction with, as appropriate, An Garda Síochána. I have therefore forwarded the Deputy's question to Bus Átha Cliath, Bus Éireann, Iarnród Éireann and to Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), which has contracted Transdev to operate the Luas, for their direct reply.
