95. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Transport his plans to upgrade the IT system in his Department and bodies under his aegis with a view to maximising the protection against hackers. [28696/21]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy technical staff are closely engaged with experts in the Office of the Government's Chief Information Officer and the National Cyber Security Centre to ensure that we follow best practice as it relates to all aspects of Cybersecurity including the upgrading of IT systems if required. For operational and security reasons, I cannot disclose details of systems and processes which could in any way compromise those efforts or which might inadvertently assist criminals to identify potential vulnerabilities in departmental Cybersecurity arrangements.
