Deputy Cian O'Callaghan asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media when a decision will be made on the proposed increase in the pensions-in-payment RTÉ superannuation scheme; the steps she is taking to expedite this; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe Chairperson of the Trustees of the RTÉSA has written to my Department with a request for a 2% pension increase. Officials in my Department have made arrangements for the matter to be reviewed and an evaluation of the proposal is currently underway in consultation with the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform. I expect to be briefed on the matter in the coming weeks with a view to responding to the Chair as soon as possible.
