458. Deputy Rose Conway-Walsh asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science the percentage of students studying on a part-time, flexible basis in higher education in each year since 2015; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [32988/21]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe HEA collect data on enrolments for undergraduate and postgraduate which includes remote learners. The table attached gives the percentage of undergraduate and postgraduate students in each of the years requested. The total proportion of students studying on a part-time or flexible basis has increased from 19.2% in 2014/15 to 23% in 2019/20.The data given for the 2019/20 year is the latest available.
