197. Deputy Holly Cairns asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications the details of the social impact assessments carried out by his Department and public bodies and agencies under his remit since 1 January 2016; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [37292/21]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department commissioned a social, environmental and economic assessment report of Galmoy and Lisheen Mines in 2018, which was published in February 2020. A copy of the report is available on gov.ie through the following link: www.gov.ie/en/publication/29332-a-social-environmental-and-economic-assessment-of-galmoy-and-lisheen-mines/.
A social impact assessment was also published by the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform in October 2020 on the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) programmes targeting energy poverty. The Department will request relevant bodies to reply directly to the Deputy with the information requested in respect of their organisations.
