182. Deputy Imelda Munster asked the Minister for Health if his Department’s IT infrastructure is monitored for security breaches on a 24/7 basis; the guidance provided from Government on same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [45313/21]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department’s IT infrastructure is fully monitored on a 24/7 basis, providing for a rapid response to any notified incidents. Specialised software is in place to mitigate against malicious software, and to provide early warning notifications of same.
My Department continues to liaise with the National Cyber Security Centre, the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, our security partner and with colleagues across the Public Service to ensure to ensure conformity with standards, and that best practice is followed in relation to all aspects of cybersecurity.
