Amharc ar fhreagraThe Prisoner's Wife's Allowance was a means tested payment made to women under 66 years of age whose husband was in prison and who have no dependent children. The scheme was closed to new applicants with effect from 2 January 1997 when One Parent Family Payment was introduced.
