91. Deputy Neale Richmond asked the Minister for Transport if he will allow those with driver’s licences that have been automatically extended to be renewed before the six-month window; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [50231/21]
Amharc ar fhreagraUnder the Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) Regulations 2006 (Statutory Instrument No. 537 of 2006), a driving licence may not be renewed more that 3 months before the date of expiry of the licence. It is not my intention to change this regulation at this time.
