Deputy Rose Conway-Walsh asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science if students from Northern Ireland will be able to avail of the Erasmus programme in the 2021-2022 academic year and the next academic year; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraMy officials will be meeting very shortly with institutions, North and South to finalise proposals to enable the temporary registration of NI higher education students with Irish higher education institutions, which will facilitate their Erasmus mobilities. This will enable the institutions involved to communicate with their studdents.
The Irish Government will continue to fund this arrangement, until such time as circumstances change.
