186. Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Transport the extent to which public transport bodies have adopted green hydrogen or are considering its adoption for use in transport; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [55620/21]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs Transport Minister, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport. The National Transport Authority (NTA) has statutory responsibility for the development and delivery of certain public transport infrastructure, including the purchase of bus fleet and, in consultation with Iarnród Éireann, the purchase of rolling stock.
Noting the NTA's responsibility in the matter, I have referred the Deputy's question to the NTA for a direct reply. Please contact my private office if you do not receive a reply within 10 days.
