Deputy Ivana Bacik asked the Minister for Transport his plans to further regulate private clamping companies and the areas in which they operate; and if he has considered the establishment of a sub-office within the National Transport Authority to manage and review the way clamping operates in Ireland. Amharc ar fhreagraAs outlined previously, in my response to Dáil question No. 245 of 15/09/2021, the Vehicle Clamping Act 2015 gave the National Transport Authority (NTA) responsibility for the regulation of vehicle clamping activities in both statutory and non-statutory (privately-owned) clamping places throughout the State. Therefore, I have again forwarded the Deputy's question to the NTA for direct reply.
