Deputy Niall Collins asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if advice will be provided in respect of a matter raised in correspondence by a person (details supplied) regarding the legal guardianship for renewing a child’s passport after death of their mother; and if he will make a statement on the matter. With regard to the specific circumstances about which the Deputy has enquired, the Passport Service has contacted the citizen directly to advise of the steps required in relation to guardianship for his child's passport application.
