115. Deputy Fergus O'Dowd asked the Minister for Transport the current failure rates in each of the operational driver test centres nationally; the standardised training and reassessment procedure that the driver testers undertake to ensure regularisation of testing across all areas; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The operation of the driving test service is the statutory responsibility of the Road Safety Authority and I have therefore referred the question to the Authority for direct reply.

I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response has not been received within ten days.

A referred reply was forwarded to the Deputy under Standing Order 51
