Deputy Seán Canney asked the Minister for Education if she will provide an update on progress on the new building for a school (details supplied); if a design team has been appointed; when it is expected that an application will be made for planning permission; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraI am pleased to inform the Deputy that the building project for the school to which he refers is being devolved for delivery to Galway & Roscommon Education and Training Board (GRETB).
The Service Level Agreement (SLA) has been issued to GRETB.
The next step is for the ETB to procure a Design Team for the project to design the buildings, obtain the necessary statutory planning permissions, and move the project onward to tender and construction in due course.
