Deputy Neale Richmond asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth if he will provide a breakdown of all refugees that have been granted asylum in Ireland including their country of origin from 2016 to 2021, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In addition to the 3,157 persons outlined in the table above, there were 404 Afghans arrivals in 2021 in Ireland through Irish Refugee Protection Programme (IRPP) as Humanitarian Aid cases.

Information on the number of persons who have been granted asylum through applications for international protection is a matter for the Department of Justice.
