Ceisteanna (1876)

Jackie Cahill

Ceist:

1876. Deputy Jackie Cahill asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that Gortnahoe health centre, County Tipperary, has no waiting room or reception area meaning that patients have to wait in their cars for their appointments and nurses often treat patients in their cars rather than the centre itself for tests such as blood pressure; his plans to address this lack of infrastructure; if he will include such works in the next round of HSE capital projects; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I understand that the health centre in question is not owned or run by the HSE. In these circumstances, it would not be appropriate for the HSE to fund this infrastructure project.
