444. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media the status of a sports capital grant payment for a club (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [29403/22]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe club to which the Deputy refers was provisionally allocated a grant of €50,000 under the 2015 Sports Capital Programme (SCP) for the provision of floodlights. In accordance with the terms and conditions of the SCP, it is necessary to demonstrate title in order to protect the public investment in the facility. These requirements were communicated in detail to the club at provisional allocation stage in 2015 and reiterated subsequently. My officials have been in regular contact with the club on this matter and as recently as May 2022. Once my Department receives the outstanding requisite documentation there will be no undue delay in advancing payment of the grant.
