600. Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Social Protection if a decision has been made on an application for a State pension (contributory) by a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [32522/22]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe person concerned will reach pension age on 01 July 2022. Their application for State pension (contributory) was received on 07 June 2022.
According to the records of my Department, the person concerned has a total of 520 qualifying paid social insurance contributions from their date of entry into insurable employment 01/01/2012 to December 2021. This gives an entitlement to the maximum rate State pension contributory from 01 July 2022. They were notified in writing of this decision on 16 June 2022.
I hope this clarifies the position for the Deputy.
