Deputy John McGuinness asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications if he will apply the lower rate of exploitation for catch and release of salmon on the rivers Barrow, Nore and Suir as recommended by the commission; if he will meet a person (details supplied) in relation to the current rate being applied and the impact that the rate is having; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe allocation of rod exploitation rates on the salmon rivers of Ireland is an operational matter for Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) in which neither I nor my department have any role.
