Deputy Ivana Bacik asked the Minister for Transport if he intends to develop further services to address the needs of children and adults with autism who use public transport in Ireland; and if the implementation of such services will be informed by feedback from members of the autism community. The National Transport Authority (NTA) has statutory responsibility for promoting the development of an accessible, integrated and sustainable public transport network. In addition, the NTA has statutory responsibility for securing the provision of public passenger transport services nationally.
